Jim, Chase and I were able to visit some family recently and had a fabulous time. We flew first to Kansas to visit my older sister and her family for a week. We had a blast playing with all five kids, playing cards, running around outdoors, reading, and playing pool. We had a great time and it was really fun to see my nieces and nephews meet Chase.
After Kansas, we headed due north to South Dakota to visit Jim's family. We were able to spend Thanksgiving with his parents, two brothers, one sister, their significant others and one niece. Once again it was great having Chase meet some more relatives and spend time with them. We spent a lot of time indoors due to cooler temps and high winds so we had a lot of time to play Monopoly Deal, chess and just enjoy the family camaraderie. Jim and I were also able to visit his alma mater, Dordt College.
As much fun as we had, it is nice to be back home. Chase is happy to be back in his own swing and taking long naps again. He did great on the plane rides, but both Jim and I are okay to be "grounded" for a little while.

What, no mention of the bout with the Kona grill Sushi?! Sorry, it's too early isn't it :).
